The TOC-903-X5 Gas Detector offers two gas detection capabilities in a single transmitter, enabling the easy and compact detection of two gases selected from 400 different gases using a single smart transmitter.
The TOC-903-X5 Gas Detector is available with ATEX and IECEx certified housing options and is approved for Zone 1 and Zone 2 for explosive gas hazards and Zone 21 and Zone 22 for dust hazards. It is equipped with 2 x 4-20 mA analog outputs, 1 x 2-wire addressable output, and 3 x relay outputs on a single detector.
This allows it to operate both independently (standalone) and as part of a large addressable system, making it ideal for any environment.
Thanks to IGD’s software infrastructure, two digital gas detectors—catalytic, PID, electrochemical, IR, ionic, and semiconductor—can be directly connected. With a wide range of sensor options for over 400 different gases and its contactless, single-person calibration feature, the TOC-903-X5 is the most flexible gas detector on the market.

This gas detector transmitter is available in ATEX and IECEx-approved enclosures for explosion hazard zones 1 and 2 and dust hazard zones 21 and 22. It is equipped with 2 analog outputs, 1 2-wire addressable output, and 3 relay outputs in a single detector. This allows it to be used independently or as part of a larger addressable network, providing perfect adaptation to any environment. Single-Person Calibration – Hands-Free Display
Since the system uses our magnetic rod technology, hot work permits are not required during detector maintenance and installation. This allows you to calibrate, commission, and integrate sensors directly from the gas detector transmitter without a hot work permit. This reduces the time spent on-site for calibration visits and increases safety in potentially explosive environments.
Dual Detector Feature – 5-Point Connection Housing
Our TOC-903-X5 product features our new 5-point ATEX housing design. This allows you to easily install the detector and connect it to third-party systems with easily accessible wiring connection points. Additionally, the 903-X5 has 3 relay outputs, which allows you to control auxiliary devices locally, further reducing installation time and costs.
Finally, the TOC-903-X5 allows you to connect up to two IGD digital gas detectors, enabling you to use any combination of sensor types. When our smart plug-and-play sensors are combined with the TOC-903-X5 gas detector transmitter, the transmitter automatically detects new sensors and provides automatic setup. This significantly reduces time spent in the field and minimizes human error during commissioning and sensor replacement.
Color-Changing Display – System Status at a Glance
Our bright LED display provides users with system status and live gas readings at a glance. With simple color-coded alarms for Green (normal status), Red (alarm activation), and Orange (fault) indicators, personnel working in the area are instantly informed of the current gas situation.
World-Leading 2-Wire Addressable Technology
All these unique features are available in IGD’s leading 2-Wire addressable technology, which reduces cabling requirements and thus saves customers 70-80% on installation. Our 2-Wire technology also enables your gas detector transmitter to communicate digitally, greatly increasing reliability and integrity. Existing systems with only two cables for power and communication can be easily upgraded using the original cabling, and additional detectors and devices can be easily added as needed. If this is not suitable for you, there is no need to worry, as our TOC-903-X5 gas detector transmitter is also available in a classic analog format. This makes it suitable for any system requirement.
